Moloney Architects have designed the 2 Halves residence on a hillside in Invermay, Australia. The interesting piece of records about this layout is that as its name indicates, it contains of pavilions which are of the exact identical length. one in all them is in which the sleeping areas are positioned, while the opposite pavilion is domestic to a dwelling area design with an open plan.

the 2 Halves house on Silverwattle power is divided in to two pavilions of exactly the identical size. The higher level pavilion houses the sleeping areas, whilst the lower stage is the kitchen, meals, dwelling spaces and garage. the 2 forms are offset and seperated far sufficient so they don’t overshadow.

The fabric palette is minimum and raw from the outdoor, but warm and delicate at the inner. evidently hearth-resistant Blackbutt is used for the outside cladding and windows, and mild-toned birch ply is used to line the indoors walls and ceilings. A custom-designed metallic and Paperock island bench reflects the angles of the break up form, which include a raked ceiling and skylight that encourages you to look up as well as out.
